FDA Approves Tanning Bed Warnings

Booths Will Warn Users of Cancer Risk New warning labels approved by the Food and Drug Administration will be required on all tanning beds in the United States, and will warn users that they should not be used by anyone under the age of 18 and could severely increase their risk of cancer. Studies have shown tanning bed users to be at a nearly 60 percent higher risk of developing melanoma, and experts say these devices aren’t safe for anyone. Read more.
