Our Team

Led by world-renowned Mohs surgeon Dr. Brett Coldiron, our team of board-certified physicians, specially-trained nurses and lab technicians has been treating patients for over 25 years. Our front office coordinators round out our team, helping to file insurance forms and answer questions concerning billing and payment. Together, we have successfully treated over 50,000 skin cancer patients and are proud to be the only independent practice in the region who is JCHAO accredited.

Brett Coldiron, MD, FACP, FAAD

Dr. Coldiron is one of the most distinguished Mohs surgeons in the world. He founded the Skin Cancer Center of Cincinnati in 1992, and he and his team of board-certified physicians have cured over 50,000 skin cancer cases via Mohs Surgery and other means. He is currently past president of the American Academy of Dermatology and has served as president, vice president and secretary treasurer of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He also served as president of the Ohio Dermatological soceity, the Ohio Dermatological Foundation and Cincinnati Dermatological Society. Dr. Coldiron has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, five book chapters and travels the globe as an expert panelist and lecturer in dermatology and Mohs Surgery. Dr. Coldiron is also frequently called upon by local and national media organizations to provide expert commentary on skin cancers, Mohs Surgery and other issues in the field of dermatology. Fun Fact: In high school, Dr. Coldiron was All State in both Football and Chorus, and he played the male lead in Mame his senior year. Each of the staff has a song that is “theirs,” and you may hear Dr. C. singing in his smooth baritone voice around the Center as he works with his patients.

Adam Turnock

Adam Turnock

Dr. Turnock is a boar-certified physician who joined Dr. Coldiron and the Skin Cancer Center team as the Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (MSDO) fellow in 2021. A native of Arizona, Dr. Turnock attended the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Cell Development Biology. After earning his doctorate from the prestigious Tulane University School of Medicine, he then completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Arizona, where he served as a Chief Resident.

Dr. Turnock is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and has special interests in Mohs surgery and the prevention and treatment of skin cancer. His goal is to consistently provide compassionate, innovative dermatologic care to help patients achieve their desired outcomes.

When he’s not in the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and infant daughter, exploring the Cincinnati food scene, playing board games with friends, and is an active parishioner of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Fun Fact: While in medical school, Dr. Turnock was an extra in the blockbuster movie Jurassic World.

Kathy Belluomini, Receptionist/Scheduler

Kathy is the Skin Cancer Center’s front-office receptionist and scheduler. A westsider and big UK fan, Kathy loves spending time on the Ohio River with her family and traveling to warm climates.

Fun Fact: Kathy’s goal is to visit every island in the Caribbean

I have been in the medical field for 8 years, and really enjoy caring for the patients.

I love spending time with my family, friends, and my family pets.

My hobbies are gardening, fishing, baking, and being outdoors.

Ruby Doherty, RN

Ruby Doherty, RN

Ruby graduated from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, 45 years ago. She has worked in many different nursing fields with the longest being surgery. While working in Michigan, at Troy Beaumont Hospital, she helped develop a pre-surgery inservice for children called; “Surgical Safari”.

Fun Facts: Ruby is a ventriloquist and has put on many childrens programs for churches and parties.

Judy Engle, Nurse Administrator

Judy is the nurse administrator for The Skin Cancer Center. She has been a nurse in Cincinnati for 45 years, graduating from Bethesda School of Nursing and completing a nursing degree at Xavier University. She has worked at several area hospitals in medical surgical and orthopedics. She also worked many years coordinating care for medically complicated patients as a certified case manager.

Fun Facts: Judy enjoys spending time with her son and large family, reading and taking walks along the Ohio river.
